Athletic Definition. Masculine Contour.

If you have excess body fat that diet and exercise alone cannot address, Dr. Firouz may recommend male liposuction to reveal a more athletic aesthetic.

Liposuction can be an effective solution for virtually any problem area. The most common treatment locations among our male patients include the following:

  • Abdomen
  • Back and flanks
  • Buttocks
  • Arms and chest
  • Calves and ankles
  • Chin and neck
  • And more

Is Male Liposuction Right for You?

For liposuction to have an ideal impact, you should be close to your ideal weight and have relatively firm skin in the treatment area. This is critical because your skin needs to drape to your newly formed contours. You should also be in good physical and mental health and have realistic goals for what liposuction can accomplish.

Liposuction vs. Liposculpture

Dr. Firouz offers both liposuction and liposculpture for our Beverly Hills patients. In many cases, they are performed simultaneously to maximize their contouring effects.

With liposuction, he removes fat from problem areas, such as your back, abdomen, arms, and more. This reduces the overall size of the area. With liposculpture, he precisely sculpts your features so they have a stronger, more defined, and more muscular appearance.

360 Lipo: A Bold Approach to Liposuction

Also known as circumferential liposuction, 360 Lipo reduces fat on three key areas simultaneously: the abdomen, love handles, and lower back. Once sufficient fat has been removed, Dr. Firouz will sculpt the tissue that remains, resulting in a fit and muscular midsection.

The Procedure

Dr. Firouz can perform your liposuction under general or local anesthesia, depending on the size and number of treatment areas.

Once the anesthetic has taken effect, Dr. Firouz will insert a cannula through a small incision in your skin. Then, he will use the cannula to suction excess fat and sculpt your surrounding muscles with precision. During this process, he is taking special care to contour your physique to your specifications, ensuring that you emerge from surgery looking and feeling your best.

Once your excess fat has been removed and your body has been reshaped, Dr. Firouz will cover the area with a dressing to support your tissues as they heal.

Your Recovery

After surgery, it is important to rest and avoid unnecessary movement. You will likely need to wear a special compression garment for a few weeks to ensure that your skin conforms to your leaner body contour. You may experience some post-surgical discomfort, but you should be able to manage it with pain medication.

Male LiposuctionFAQs

How long is the recovery from liposuction?

It depends on the extent of your procedure. However, most men can return to office work and light activities within one week.

When will I see the results?

Initial swelling and bruising will obscure your results. As these effects improve, your new contours become more visible, with full results developing over the following months.

Will liposuction help me build muscle definition?

Liposuction does not build muscle, but it can enhance the visibility of existing muscle tone by removing fat that softens definition.

Is male liposuction different from liposuction for women?

The underlying technique is similar, but the approach is tailored to create sharper, more angular contours that align with masculine anatomy.

Will the fat come back after male liposuction?

The removed fat cells are eliminated, but the remaining fat cells can still expand with weight gain. Maintaining a stable weight helps preserve your results.

Can liposuction improve the appearance of male chest fullness?

Yes, liposuction can reduce excess fat in the chest area. If glandular tissue is involved, additional treatment may be needed for optimal results.

How visible are the scars after liposuction?

Incisions are very small and placed discreetly. They typically heal well and become less noticeable over time.

How soon can I return to exercise after liposuction?

Light activity can usually resume within a couple of weeks, while more intense exercise should be delayed for several weeks to allow proper healing.
