Academic Background

As a native of Los Angeles, Dr. Firouz attended UCLA for his undergraduate education. After graduating with honors, Dr. Firouz received his medical degree from George Washington University.

Dr. Firouz then returned to Los Angeles to complete a five-year general surgery residency at USC. The valuable experience at USC provided Dr. Firouz with extensive training in all aspects of general surgery, including surgical critical care, burn reconstruction, and shock trauma and earned him an election into the prestigious Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and a nomination as the Chief Resident in General Surgery. Upon completion of his residency at USC, Dr. Firouz received his Board Certification in General Surgery.

Dr. Jimmy Firouz opted to specialize in plastic surgery after many years of rigorous training and experience in general surgery. He attended the renowned Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery program at the Cleveland Clinic, which provided him with extensive experience in complex cosmetic procedures of the face and body. As part of his cumulative education, training and experience, he learned and mastered cosmetic and functional procedures involving plastic surgery of the face and body. Such specialties include endoscopic and laser procedures, body contouring, breast surgery, and facial rejuvenation surgery. As a member of professional medical societies such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Firouz is a leader in the field of plastic surgery.

Although I have ALWAYS known that I was going to follow my dreams and become a surgeon, I decided to get my Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology while at UCLA so I can learn more about different cultures, their music, arts, and languages.

To that end, some of my favorite hobbies are to travel, meet new people, and experience the world as a whole!
