"Throughout my life, I have felt that finding the right balance between hard work and taking time to unwind and enjoy myself has made me even more focused in taking care of my patients.  Although I have ALWAYS known that I was going to follow my dreams and become a surgeon, I decided to get my Bachelor's degree in Anthropology while at UCLA so I can learn more about different cultures, their music, arts and languages.

To that end, some of my favorite hobbies are to travel, meet new people, and experience the world as a whole! I think my love for adventure, animals, and life in general have made me want to venture out to the extreme corners of the earth and literally be in touch with what the world has to offer."  -Jimmy Firouz, MD
